WASCO SALMON/STEELHEAD TOURNAMENT

Boat or bank fishing on the scenic Columbia River between The Dalles Dam and John Day Dam
(only 20 miles east of The Dalles and 100 miles east of Portland)

Check-In: 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. (Heritage Landing)
Weigh-In: Noon to 3:00 p.m. (Wasco, OR)

Cost:
$20.00 per adult (over the age of 14)
$5.00 children (14 and under)
Includes hamburger or hot dog and drink

SILENT AUCTION of outdoor equipment and items - open to the public.
PRIZES: TROPHIES will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place winners in the following categories: adult male, adult female, and youth (14 and under). ALL 1st PLACE WINNERS WILL RECEIVE RODS AND REELS and there will be PRIZES FOR 2nd PLACE WINNERS. There will also be a SPECIAL PRIZE DRAWING FOR THE “I, ALSO, FISHED” CATEGORY (didn’t catch any fish or didn’t win a prize) will be entered in, and must be present to win.

GRAND PRIZE for the overall largest fish - A HAND BLOWN GLASS FISH SCULPTURE BY ANDY NICHOLS of NICHOLS ART GLASS, THE DALLES, OR

FISHING AREA: Between The Dalles Dam and John Day Dam
(NO FISHING ON THE DESCHUTES RIVER PER OREGON DEPT OF FISH & WILDLIFE)

CHECK-IN/LAUNCH SITE: Heritage Landing at the mouth of the Deschutes River.
ALL participants must sign in or sign up between 5:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. All members of the boat must be registered and can only enter fish that they personally have caught using using rod, reel and legal tackle. A valid tag must be submitted with each fish caught and entered. All participants must have a valid fishing license. A river pass ($1.00 fee) is required for each person in the boat launching at Heritage Landing - applications will be available at check-in. All boats must be in compliance with the Oregon Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Program.
Coming from the west - Take I-84 to the Celilo exit (Exit 97).  Turn right (south) at the end of the exit , then make an immediate left (east) onto Hwy 206 (the frontage road) and travel approximately 3 miles east.
Coming from the east - Take I-84 to the Biggs Junction exit (Exit 104) and turn right (west) on the Biggs-Rufus Hwy (the frontage road). Continue west approx 4 miles to the launch site).

WEIGH-IN/LUNCH SITE: Wasco's Historic Railroad Depot (Hwy 206 in the center of Wasco) from Noon to 3:00 p.m. Only fish personally caught by registered participants using using rod, reel and legal tackle can be entered. A valid tag must be submitted with each fish entered.
Prizes will be awarded immediately following the close of weigh-in.
Each paid participant will be given a ticket for hamburger or hot dog and drink. Food tickets may be purchased by non-participants for $5.00.
Wasco is located any easy 9 mile drive from Heritage Landing. Turn right (east) out of Heritage Landing onto Hwy 206. Continue east approximately 2 miles and turn right (south) onto Fulton Canyon Rd. (Hwy 206). Stay on Hwy 206 to Wasco.
